This Privacy Policy explains how Pryntis ("Pryntis", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Pryntis website, applications, and related services (the "Service").
Pryntis is a certification prep and learning portal. We use account and learning data to provide sign‑in, progress tracking, and optional community features.

1) Information we collect
A) Account information (if sign-in is enabled)
If you create an account or sign in with a third-party provider, we may process:
- Name / display name (if provided)
- Email address (used for login and account recovery)
- Basic profile settings (for example, avatar or nickname)
Google sign‑in (optional). If you choose "Continue with Google", Pryntis receives basic account profile information from Google (typically your name, email address, and profile photo) and an authentication token used to sign you in.
We do not receive your Google password, and we do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, or other Google content.
B) Learning data
To provide study features, Pryntis may store:
- Course progress and completion state
- Quiz results and practice history
- Saved preferences (pacing, theme, accessibility)
C) Community content (if enabled)
If community features are available, we may store:
- Posts, comments, and attachments you submit
- Basic interaction signals (likes/reactions)
D) Technical data
We may collect limited technical information for reliability and security, such as:
- Device/browser type and app version
- Crash logs and performance signals
- Approximate timestamps for events (for example, last sign-in)
2) Local-first storage
Pryntis is designed to work as a local-first study tool where possible. Some progress and preferences may be stored locally on your device (for example, browser storage or local app storage).
3) How we use information
We use information to:
- Operate and improve the Service
- Authenticate users and prevent abuse
- Sync progress (when cloud sync is enabled)
- Provide support and respond to requests
- Maintain security and reliability
When you use Google sign‑in, we use the information provided by Google only to:
- Create and authenticate your Pryntis account
- Display your name/photo (if provided) in the app UI
- Link your learning progress to your account
4) How we share information
We may share information only as needed to operate the Service:
- With service providers that help us run the platform (for example, hosting, authentication)
- If required by law, to comply with legal processes
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the Service
We do not sell your personal information.
5) Third-party services
The Service uses third-party services to operate, including Firebase Authentication for sign‑in and Cloud Firestore for data storage (profiles, community content, and learning data). These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
The Service may also link to third-party websites (for example, learning resources). Their privacy policies apply when you leave Pryntis.
6) Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account data via Support.
7) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8) Children’s privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact Support.
